Picking up where I left off last week, I cut the giant access holes in the ribs. I did a pretty good job of getting the center located, probably within 1/16". I used a fly cutter in the drill press on low speed. What a terrifying tool...

Anyway, the holes came out great and then I moved onto the tank vent lines. I almost made a mistake here. There are two sizes of fittings in the bag for the tank bits and bobs. There is a larger elbow, presumably for the fuel line, and a smaller elbow for the tank vent line. I grabbed the larger one at first and was preparing to drill a 9/16" hole until it occurred to me to just check what else was in the bag. I found the smaller elbows and then saw that it actually needed to be a 7/16" hole. Good catch!

Next up, I need to drill the holes for the covers for these giant holes as well as the doubler backing/nutplate attachment rings that goes inside the tanks.
