I closed out the wrong nutplate saga today. I had previously re-attacked the countersinks for these nutplates and also did all the countersinks for the skin dimples. Rather than try and get all those primed with a q-tip, I just did a quick run down the spar flange with the spray can of self-etching primer.

I clecoed all 120 new nutplates to the spars.

Then I squeezed all the rivets to finish out the task. I couldn't reach three rivets on some of the nutplates that are in the wing walk section of ribs. When the ribs weren't there when I put the nutplates on the first time, it was no issue but now, these three rivets were way to close to the spar and the ribs to get anything in there. I couldn't even get a bucking bar in there. What I ended up doing is getting the back rivet set angled in there and just smearing the rivet tail over. It's awful as far as rivets go, but these just need to keep the nutplate from spinning when the screw is tightened down so it's not a strength or safety issue. If I get an offset back rivet set to do the wing skin rivets, I may drill out these 6 ugly ones and redo them with that tool to see if I get better results.
