I got quite a bit accomplished today. I riveted the aileron brackets to the wing, the aileron gap fairing to the skin and rear spar, and reworked the flap braces.

Here you can see everything attached. The skin to aileron gap fairing rivets are very short, 3-3s, which seems too short but it was explicitly called out to be that length in the plans so I used them. Maybe it has something to do with clearance for the aileron...

I accomplished the service bulletin regarding the inboard aileron bracket by putting on the doublers on the forward side of the spar.

I mentioned reworking the flap braces...I had prepped and countersunk a pair but hadn't primed them or riveted them on. I noticed while doing a final deburring before priming them that they were laser cut parts, and I had already ordered a replacement pair a long time ago. I was just using the wrong ones. Anyway, I realized the error, found the non-laser cut parts, and got those up to speed including drilling, deburring, countersinking, and finally cleaning and priming them (you can see them sitting across the tops of the wings drying in the last picture). They are ready to get riveted to the rear spar next time!
