I spent far too long trying to bend the fuel floats to the exact measurement specified on the plans, and after fitting the left one, I think there is a typo on the length. It gives one of the dimensions as 3.75 inches and I'm pretty sure after fitting it that it is supposed to be 3.25 inches. Anyway, I got them bent and fit so that the full swing of the float arms stops about 1/8" from the top and bottom skins.

Next, I moved onto countersinking the access hatch and riveting in the nutplates. It was a short night but crossed some tasks off the todo list!
