Since I've now got a new set of rear spars for the horizontal stabilizer, along with the bearings and powder-coated brackets, I went back through the instructions and did the steps I needed to redo or never did initially 18 months ago. Here is the spars, reinforcement bars, and brackets all clecoed together so I can match drill everything. Please pardon the chaos that is the basement workshop...

I matched drilled the cool bearing/brackets assembly, and then deburred the bearing, scuffed it, cleaned it, masked it (picture below) and then hit it with a spritz of self-etching primer.

Here it is...the first rivet set on the project!

What a beauty!

Bearing/brackets assembly complete with 6 rivets!

Since I have done quite a bit of work when I first got the kits, I hope it will seem like I'm moving quick and am looking forward to getting some structures riveted together!
