Today I got a start on making the push tubes and rods that connect the control stick to the ailerons. You start with a 12 foot aluminum tube and a 4 foot steel rod that both get cut to pretty specific lengths. I did the aluminum tube on the miter saw and the steel rod with the angle grinder and then files to get it smooth and to the correct length.
I primed the tubes inside and out and then fit, drilled, and riveted the threaded end stop bits that go in the end of the steel rods.
