The empennage kit is here! Pretty much right on schedule with Van's timeline. They have modernized their logistics in the last decade and seem to be doing a great job delivering kits even with the chaos that is the 'global supply chain' right now.

The first thing you want to do is have the cat inspect everything -- that's your first line of defense.

Once she approved everything, I tore into the boxes and inventoried everything. There are some backordered bags that have bearings and the powder-coated steel brackets that go with them. It might cause a change in construction order or delay in final riveting but we'll see how long those take to get here.

After completing the inventory, I moved everything to the basement. That's not the final build space, but it is the build space for the short-term. We are building a 2.5-car garage and it's almost done. When that's buttoned up, I'll move the building out there as the space in the basement is pretty small and congested.

The boys are pretty excited about it although they don't really know what is going on or what this is all about. Either way, this makes for a good 'before' picture.
